in the winter, clouds acquired an electric guitar. soon thereafter we started to meet for "band practice" (freeform jamming in the garage). the informal nature of these sessions allowed both members of the band to dive deeply into their instrument and explore a vast sea-scape of possibility. while we swam in different directions at first, our solo adventures in sound led us back with a shared vibration to the same illuminated waters: a duo mostly in unison. for the first time, clouds was truly playing as a band, and our simple tunes sounded pretty good!

sometimes we recorded our jam. live and unrehearsed, the songs on this album come directly from these recordings: Jan-June 2022. wiggle and waggle, crunch and crash; saddle up your favorite early-Kinks record and don your grungiest flannel, "jangle & fuzz" is here to scratch both itches!
